From its origins to the present day!
During a 1h30 guided tour, you'll discover the technology, know-how and lives of the men of the last century.
Our enthusiastic guide will introduce you to the hydroelectric power station, the sawmill and the mechanical workshop, all of which are still in operation today! He'll tell you all about the famous engineer Paul DAZEY, the man behind the company's development, whose ingenuity and diverse inventions will astound you.
Le Battant is the oldest industrial site in the Charmes region, and the last to cease trading. Its name derives from its first activity, by drapers, first recorded in 1580, and later by tanners who came to the canal to tread cloth and hides respectively.
Visits on Sundays at 2:30pm and 4:30pm from Father's Day weekend to Heritage Days.
Tours on request for groups from April to November.
Possibility of organizing a special visit for schoolchildren and vacation centers, on the theme of renewable energies.
