124m² museography space divided into four themes based on the four elements of Earth, Water, Wind, and Fire. The Earth space shows the geography of the Vitryat Countryside and the kinds of cultures that stem from it.
Why do we talk about Champagne’s chalky soil or its damp region? The Fire space tells the History - with a capital H - of Vitry-le-François. The Water space reveals the secrets of the Der lake, of the old river trade along the Marne and its three canals. The Air space focuses on the region's very present ornithological and wind-related aspects. Located in the Tourism Office, the Vitry Champagne et Der space is a really playful and interactive journey for little kids and big kids alike.
