Description

Its 80 cm wide allow only the passage of a hand-drawn wagon from where its name and allow access to the gardens behind the houses and the edge of the Lambon.
Mounted without mortar or earth, otherwise the ivy settles, its two dry stone walls bordering it are inclined to resist the push of the earth. Their hats are made up of flat stones lined with spikes. Holes of 40 to 60 cm are used to drain water in the event of flooding.
From 2016 to 2020, a participatory reconstruction project was launched with the stone walls collapsed and also from the foundations of the keep of Niort: a testimony of the transmission of the traditional technique of the dry stone masonry.
Path inscribed in the Departmental Plan of walking and hiking routes and part of the Niort III Millennium Communal Path.
