Gîte "La Bayenne"

Situated in the heart of the Meuse valley, in the center of the Ardennes Regional Nature Park, in a town with a strong industrial past, "La Bayenne" (the name of a typical Ardennes dish) has been entirely restored to ensure optimal comfort. Everything has been thought of to make you feel at home. The house is on 3 levels, with an outdoor area featuring garden furniture for relaxing. The first floor is a large living room organized around its revolving wood-burning stove. On one side, the living room, combining modern and antique furniture, will fulfill its comfort function with its electric sofa and numerous armchairs allowing you to enjoy the reading corner (numerous books as well as historical books on the Ardennes) or the large 4K screen. From the living room, you can also relax to the rhythm of the Meuse with a direct view of the river, or listen to 33 rpm records on the vinyl turntable. On the other side, a fully-equipped fitted kitchen with a large family table and stainless steel medallion chairs. An arcade terminal is at your disposal for the pleasure of retro video games. A laundry area with toilet adjoins the kitchen. From the kitchen, you have access to an interior courtyard with a dining area, Weber barbecue or ceramic barbecue, a relaxation area and a Zen area surrounded by palm trees and a hundred-year-old olive tree. Unoverlooked, the courtyard enjoys sunshine all day long. On the 1st floor, the two bedrooms, one overlooking the Meuse river and the other the inner courtyard, have their own theme. Each room has a queen-size bed with Emma mattress, pillows and comforter, a dedicated workspace with Wi-Fi and a full bathroom (shower and toilet). On the 2nd floor, the bedroom features Empire-style antique furniture and offers the same comforts as the other rooms. Free parking is available in front of the house.
