This washhouse was built in 1817 by the architect Pierre-Augustin Lerouge. It is composed of a four-sided roof lit by five bays and flanked by a drinking trough. A beautiful sculpted fountain adorns the east side and feeds it.the niche sheltering a cast iron swan has a shell vault. Above, a vase is held by the tails of two chimeras with horse heads and winged bodies covered with scales. Water comes out through the beak of the swan with outstretched wings. On either side of the fountain, the water trough is fed by a cast iron mask.
Inside, the large oval basin is divided into 3 parts: a large rectangular basin framed by 2 small semi-circular basins, each fed by a curved terminal.
