Jardin Public - 1934 - Pierre.
The creation of the public garden was initiated by Henri Fauchet (1866-1937), mayor of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande from 1926 to 1935. Purchased by the town from the commune of Pineuilh at the beginning of the 20th century, the land, which is crossed by the Rance stream, a small tributary of the Dordogne that borders the bastide to the east, was initially destined to receive the town's rubble, in order to level the terrain. It was then canalized. In 1932, the town council decided to create a public garden here.
