The horizon mirror is a material image. It's an invitation for our eyes to bounce up to the sky. The ancients traced a frame in the air and read the future in the flight of birds within this imaginary temple. Michel Herreria?s invention brings this figure down from the clouds. The material image of the mirror and the formal image slide one over the other, one into the other
the other. Here we are, trying to grasp this uncertain geometry and all its enchantments. It's a machine for daydreams and illusions, literally perforating the restful image of the place and creating uncertainty in the perception of this beautiful arrangement. A disturbance that revives what we no longer know how to see, and makes tangible what we don't see.
