Église Saint-Antoine

Saint-Antoine is a Catholic parish church. It was built in the first half of the 13th century, but underwent major alterations in the 16th century, probably as a result of damage sustained during the Hundred Years' War, and is now a fairly homogeneous building in the Flamboyant Gothic style.

In fact, the façade and choir with its aisles and ambulatory date entirely from the 16th century; with their rich sculpted decoration and great elegance and finesse of form, they are the most remarkable parts of the church.

The church lost most of its works of art in 1768, when a parish priest who wanted to brighten up the interior had it stripped of most of its contents. Listed as a historic monument, the church was extensively restored from 1863 onwards.

The church is affiliated to the parish of the Seize Bienheureuses Carmélites de Compiègne.
