Antoine Arnaud has demonstrated his talent as a graphic designer with posters for art films such as "Paradis" by Ulrich Seidl, "Lourdes" by Jessica Hausner, "Panique au Village" by Aubier and Patar and others. He has international recognition for this work, at the Cannes and Venice Film Festivals in Berlin.
But when he escapes the rigidity of this craft, he becomes a thoroughbred draftsman. He creates a universe of ironic and melancholic beauty at the same time. He works and also cultivates clumsiness. He loses himself gracefully because it feels good to be lost in one's thoughts. The result is a drawing that provokes a modest smile. The characters are caricatures that tell the naked truth. Antoine's drawings show us "La Comédie Humaine" in a peacefully hilarious and gently tragic way, in an exhibition-sale at 7 rue du 14 juillet.
