Moon Harbour Distillery (literal translation of « Port of the moon » in English), which was created in january 2014, is the first distillery to produce 100% Bordeaux whiskey.
This Bordeaux whiskey Moon Harbour is produced from barley harvested in Saint Jean d’Illac in the Bordeaux region, malted and then distilled in the Stupfler copper stills, made in Bègles (Bordeaux suburbs).
The visits offer the discovery of the distillery with the storage area of the raw material – explanation on the malting, and the whiskey making) – the vat room, the room of the stills as well as the bunker, and the visit will continue with a tasting of 3 products (2 whiskeys and 1 gin), the projection of the distillery’s construction film, as well as historical photos of the Bacalan area.
