Domaine d'Ancia

The Domaine d'Ancia is located at Le Plessis in the commune of Anché in the south of the Vienne department.
Adjacent to the Bois des Coussières forest and close to the splendid river Clain, the estate belonged in the High Middle Ages to the Lords of Anché, whose coat of arms "argent au lion de sable" still forms the Anché coat of arms today.
Of the two original Château du Plessis buildings, the first is medieval and no longer standing, while the second, where you'll be staying, dates from the 18th and 19th centuries. In the park, with its centuries-old trees, you'll discover many different species: oaks, umbrella pines, maritime pines, Corsican pines, redwoods, yews, corm trees...
