Located in a protected marshland area, Terres d'Oiseaux is one of the last reedbeds on the Gironde Estuary. The biotype is home to rare birds and numerous insects, amphibians, and mammals. There are more than 110 species of birds – reed buzzards, herons, storks, snipe, etc. The site features 2 distinct, but complementary parts: - a free area where visitors can climb to the top of an observation tower, as well as a reception area with a café, boutique, and panoramic restaurant
- an area with an entry fee consisting of three ornithological trails with lookout posts with mounted telescopes.
