Saint-Loup-en-Champagne - Village Fleuri "1 fleur"

Built in a valley and surrounded by ditches, it lies close to the Roman road from Reims to Cologne. In 2021, the commune had a population of 341, living mainly from farming. They are known as the Thoins. Sightseeing Saint-Loup parish church in Saint-Loup-en-Champagne (exterior only), built in the 11th century and enlarged and embellished four hundred years later, was in danger of falling into ruin. It was restored twice, thanks to the combined efforts of the commune and the State. The transept and sanctuary were restored in 1879 ? 1880. The nave and bell tower were rebuilt in 1887. The architecture of the tower, like that of the aisles, is inspired by the flamboyant Gothic lines of the apse. The roofs are covered in slate.
