This former detention facility, whose construction dates back to the beginning of the 19th century, bears witness to its prison function through its architecture: this solid rectangular building, made of rubble block with corner quoins and ashlar frames, is illuminated on the street side by windows protected by strong grills, while the rear and side façades are blind. On the ground floor, on either side of a central corridor, there were two identical cells with walls lined with oak boards and semi-circular openings fitted with bars on the inside. The first floor, whose configuration has not changed, housed the gaoler's accommodation (an office and a bedroom).
