Description

In this classic play, Molière depicts with precision, derision and excess, all the folly of a man won over by avarice. Harpagnon, the play's main character, imposes an austerity on his children and servants that turns into a nightmare.
With a fresh, modern approach, La Cité Théâtre takes the side of youth, sympathizing with Harpagnon's children who, with small hypocrisies and great audacity, resist his absurd domination.
