The Erve valley is unique north of the Loire: a protected area with Natura 2000 environmental status, it is home to exceptional flora and fauna. It's the perfect place for nature lovers to escape from time for a day.
The area is also a meeting place for sports enthusiasts, with climbing and caving courses offered by sports associations throughout the year. Numerous hiking trails criss-cross the valley and link the neighboring Petites Cités de Caractère. Numerous activities are organized to help you spend a pleasant time with family and friends.
The caves are open from March 16 to November 14.
Grotte Margot is open to children aged 3 and over, and Grotte Rochefort to children aged 6 and over.
Visits to the caves cover a range of themes: geology, daily life in prehistoric times in the Rochefort cave, and cave art in the Margot cave.
Reservations are required on the online ticketing site.
