In the immediate vicinity of the castle, within the hospital grounds, you can discover the Saint-Pierre chapel built between 1958 and 1966.
A remarkable example of contemporary religious architecture, it is the result of the joint work of patients of the psychiatric hospital, workers and artists.
The pillars, for example, are made up of different blocks, some cubic, others without distinct shape: the result of a collective participation. The sculptures inside were made by the Ardèche artist Roger Marion in local stone: granite from Serverette and pink sandstone from Rouget.
Noteworthy on both sides of the altar, the representation of the four evangelists, the angel for Matthew, the lion for Mark, the bull for Luke and the eagle for John.
The Chapel is open from May 2 to September 22, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm and on rare occasions not to be missed!
