The Fonds régional d'art contemporain Grand Large - Hauts-de-France (Frac Grand Large - Hauts-de-France) is a regional public collection of contemporary art .
It was founded in 1982 under the name Fonds régional d'art contemporain du Nord-Pas-de-Calais and took its current name in 2017 following the merger of Picardy and Nord-Pas-de-Calais on 1 January 2016.
Initially located at Square Morisson in Lille, the regional fund moved to the former hospital on Avenue Rosendaël in Dunkirk in September 19963. In November 2013, the FRAC moved to a new building in the Grand-Large district (Dunkerque-Centre).
The FRAC houses works of art and design from the 1960s to the present day. The collection comprises more than 1,800 works , grouped around an initial core devoted to Arte Povera, Minimal Art, Conceptual Art, individual mythologies, Pop Art and Fluxus, with a special section dedicated to design that testifies to the international melting pot of its sources.
