The Place Jacques Félix was initially called Place du Sépulcre and then Place de l'Agriculture.
Charles de Gonzague had the Sisters Sepulcrales , who taught young girls, housed there. The order is recognizable by the double crosses
on the facades. In 1792 they left the monastery which became a military hospital . Later it became home to the central school which became a college , later the library and then the teacher training school and the minor seminary.
It was between 1865 and 1870 that the young Arthur Rimbaud, a brilliant student with a strong character, attended the training.
In 1876 , a fire destroyed the building. A new library was built; the college moved to its current Lycée Chanzy.
From 1909 to 1919, a barracks was set up. In 1926, the chapel collapsed. In 1929, the old buildings of the seminary became a nursing home for the elderly.
