"Voyelles" (Vowels) is a sonnet written in 1871 by Arthur Rimbaud , the manuscript of which is preserved in the Arthur Rimbaud Museum.
It is the first fresco in a long series along the tour route and uses two historical documents: on the one hand, the faithfully reproduced manuscript, and on the other, a caricature of Rimbaud, drawn by Manuel Luque in 1888 and published today in the magazine 'Les Hommes d'oyenne'.
A touring route allows you to discover the city of Charleville-Mézières by following in the footsteps of the man with windy soles. For several years now, this route has been punctuated by works of art that give us a different view of the city where one of the greatest French poets was born.
During the historical tour you will discover the places that Arthur Rimbaud visited during his childhood and adolescence.
