Along Le Cros , near Saint‑Cézaire‑sur‑Siagne, stands a striking concrete structure that is part of the historical water management in the region.

The Siagne was tapped from around 1868 at Saint-Cézaire to supply drinking water to places such as Grasse and Cannes. Concrete canals, locks and intake shafts were built for this purpose. The Canal de la Siagne starts near the Pont de Mons and is an impressive historic aqueduct that carries the Siagne river water from Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne to Cannes , over a distance of approximately 47 km.

This concrete structure stands on the spot where water is led from the river to the Canal de la Siagne - an artificial waterway. The water is drained here in a controlled manner via an inlet, fixed in concrete walls or tubes.
