Pilgrimage site Sainte Baume - Estérel

This place of pilgrimage is located at the bottom of the steep path leading to the cave of Saint-Honorat.

It is a small place of pilgrimage consisting of a chapel/oratory , some religious statues, and the spring itself . This is the actual place of pilgrimage where people came (and sometimes still come) to pray at the spring. Prayers used to be held here during droughts, and small processions were organized. The water was sometimes considered to have healing properties.
