This long, narrow garden (28 m × 400 m) is located above the dammed Careï River, midway between Avenue de Verdun and Avenue Boyer and was laid out around 1899 based on a design by landscape architect Édouard André.
Rectangular and square flower boxes with rounded corners, bordered by rows of orange trees (bigaradiers) and subtropical massifs and water features : fountains, modern sculptures, rose tubs, palm trees and magnolias offer an exotic atmosphere.
During the Citron Festival (since 1936), the Biovès are noticeably transformed into an open-air exhibition of massive citrus fruit compositions.
