The casino is located in a landscaped area overlooking the bay , with large windows and a terrace next to the sea.
In the early 1920s, the site was originally occupied by the Miramar , a popular bar and dance hall built in 1922 by René Darde to serve the growing tourist influx. In 1929, the building was transformed into a casino , also by René Darde, in an elegant Art Deco style , including a generous terrace structure overlooking the sea and artistic bas-reliefs on the north facade.
The casino quickly became a hotspot for Parisian high society , Gulf sailing officers, and the local elite, with live entertainment and dance evenings on the terrace. Unfortunately, the original roof terraces and reliefs were lost in later renovations.
After the war it returned to the hands of the municipality, as a municipal casino, until its takeover by the Groupe Barrière in the second half of the 20th century.
Today, the casino is a stylish relaxation area with high-quality gaming facilities, captivating live performances, culinary offerings, and magnificent views of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Recent renovations have created a modern, comfortable experience.
