After a few kilometers, the route takes you to Mercoeur, the capital of the black Xaintrie! With a dominant position, the town offers access to the valley of the Cère. Due to its location, it stands out as a strategic site. A fact that is historically recognized, as traces of Roman occupation have been discovered nearby. An urn dating from the 2nd century BC was also found.
