We set off from Beaulieu with a very steep climb. But as a reward for your efforts and those of your horses, you'll be treated to some very fine views, notably at "Frayssinhes et font merle", before discovering the wild valley of the Ruisseau d?Orgues. Not to be missed: the view from the "painter's rock" over the Cère gorges is well worth the detour. You're already in the Xaintrie region of Cantal. This rural region is highly recognizable for its distinctive architecture: Xaintrie barns are vast buildings covered with lauzes (a very heavy material, weighing around 100kg/m²) or flaked slate. Access to the barn is treated with particular care, as the door opens onto a porch-like forebuilding, covered by a high roof
