A loop-like walk that starts in the beautiful rural village of Terdeghem (Place Saint-Martin 176, 59114 Terdegem, Hauts-de-France, France).
The first part of the walk runs along quiet asphalt streets, while the second part is mostly on unpaved paths.
First, we walk towards Romemolen (Moulin de la Roome), one of the four windmills in Terdeghem-Steenvoorde. We enjoy beautiful views of the Katsberg and Steenvoorde (on the right) and the Recolettenberg (on the left).
We cross the road from Steenvoorde to Cassel, an old military road. Now we head towards Le Ryveld, a slightly higher neighborhood. At the chapel, we turn left and gaze towards Cassel. We walk up to the foot of the Recolettenberg, the wooded twin mountain next to the Casselberg.
In the last part, heading towards the village, we follow the GR (Grande Randonnée 128).
The Saint Martin's Church in Terdeghem has a rich interior and is certainly worth a visit.
