Stage from Mont-Saint-Michel to Fougères via La Regalante

The unforgettable silhouette of this famous rocky island stands out against the background of the bay. This cycling adventure on the Régalante departs from Mont-Saint-Michel. The bay, subject to the highest tides in Europe, presents changing landscapes where the sand and mudflats are revealed and covered by the regular rhythm of the tides. Get on your bike and admire the changing colors of the sky and sea as the cycling route goes inland through a landscape of polders. Pedal once more and you will pass through Antrain, alongside rivers and through hedged farmland. A green route and a rural path characterize this first stage. Maen Roch offers a relaxing break where you can recharge your batteries... and those of your bike.

From Maen Roch, the Régalante follows a green route through the countryside, dotted with remarkable railway heritage: the Saint-Germain-en-Coglès station, gatekeeper's houses, tunnels, bridges, and even a monumental fresco themed around trains. As a strategic defensive element in the Marches de Bretagne, the medieval fort of Fougères, one of the largest in Europe, is definitely worth a long visit! Once you have parked your bikes, you can easily walk through the medieval quarter or relax on the terrace of a café with an uninterrupted view of the fort. You are in for a treat in this thousand-year-old city.

• Pontorson: a municipality with the "Station Verte" label, an old medieval town.
• Marais de Sougéal: classified as a Regional Nature Reserve, rich natural heritage, bird and plant watching.
• Antrain: part of Brittany's rural heritage, exploration of the town, Maison des Patrimoines, Couesnon bridge, railway heritage, old mills converted into homes, railway tunnels.
• Saint-Brice-en-Coglès: the elegant railway water tower, services and numerous shops, restaurants, and bakeries.
• Tremblay: Little Parc, zoo
• Maen Roch: walk through the city center, railway history.
• Saint-Germain-en-Coglès: beautiful flowers (4 flowers in the Villes et Villages Fleuris award), the Jardin de l'Eau (water garden)
• Le Pommé: in Maen Roch or Fougères, discover the pommé, a sweet local specialty
• Fougères: the medieval quarter, a visit to the castle, the upper town, surrounded by medieval walls and overlooking the city. Eighteenth-century mansions, designer boutiques, craftsmen, and lively terraces. Don’t miss the incredible view of the castle from the public garden.
