The V52 from Paris to Strasbourg features long developed sections, one of the most remarkable of which crosses Meurthe-et-Moselle. From Toul to Lagarde, a village marking the entry into Moselle, it offers a 92 km escape on a path reserved for cyclists and walkers, guided by the Canal de la Marne au Rhin.

The route can start in Toul, an ancient fortified town with a rich military heritage, whose centuries-old ramparts protect a historic center dominated by the Saint-Étienne Cathedral. The itinerary then follows the Moselle valley towards Nancy, passing at the foot of the fortified village of Villey-le-Sec to arrive at Neuves-Maisons where one can visit the old iron mine. Nancy, which was a beacon of Art Nouveau, delights with its exceptional heritage, notably a set of 18th-century squares, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Continuing eastward, the V52 passes very close to the basilica of Saint-Nicolas-de-Port and the salt mine of Varangéville, still in operation and open for visits. This marks the entry into the Land of Salt marked by the exploitation of this white gold. Upon reaching Einville-au-Jard, a detour is necessary to stop in Lunéville. The majesty of the castle and its park in the heart of the city have earned the estate the nickname "Little Lorraine Versailles." Back on the route, the journey continues through pastoral landscapes until Lagarde, which marks the entrance to the wetlands of the Lorraine Regional Natural Park.
