Walking circuit - Picnic at Sorémont

Very beautiful route with many viewpoints. Take the road leading to Honville, cross the bridge over the Lauterupt. Shortly after, on the right, you will see one of the many calvaries in the region. Continue straight until you reach the school of Honville, located at the fork of two roads; take the left road towards Québrux, and after about fifty meters, turn right to begin climbing the path of Bethléem, which gradually elevates you towards Hautgoutte. From there, you will have a lovely view of the village of Ban de Laveline, with a modern stable in the foreground. Climbing ahead, you can see the ridge line at 1008 meters. At Hautgoutte, you arrive at a small road coming from Québrux; turn right and pass in front of a first renovated farm and a second one called "Le Châtillon." Near the sealed entrance door in the sandstone, an IGN marker indicates an altitude of 634.35 m. Note: the oratory of Sainte-Claire is below the first farm. The ascent continues and you arrive at a place called Sorémont, a small plateau with picnic tables and benches. The signage indicates the direction to take, to the right. You have a very nice view of the Blanche Femme, of Baudifosse across, and of Ban de Laveline below. You can refresh yourself at the Miclo fountain. After seeing, on your left, the water treatment station of Ban de Laveline and, on your right, the water reservoir, you descend towards the valley and arrive at the hamlet of Lauterupt. Before the forest house, take the left path that, after about a hundred meters, turns right and takes a 180° curve. Climb this forest path and, above a small slope, you will begin to have a nice view of Ormont and Bertrimoutier. At the next fork, take the wide, flat, and shaded right path. During this walk, take the time to admire the many viewpoints that are offered to you. You come out at the Renouard farm in Baudifosse, with, on the right, a little lower, a renovated farm. Follow this path and continue straight. This path, which overlooks the valley, leads to a fork where you take the downward path on the right and, ten meters later, turn right again. You descend a trail that crosses a deciduous wood. At the exit of this wood, you are in the pastures and continue straight while crossing a fir wood. You glimpse, at its exit, below, the calvary of Chaufour. Head towards Verpellière by taking the dirt path (do not trample the pastures). Turn right, and after the calvary of Chaufour, descend towards the hamlet of Honville and return towards Ban de Laveline by the outward path.
