Hiking The Balconies of Bussang

Very beautiful hike offering magnificent viewpoints and forest passages in the heights of Bussang: 7.5 km, positive elevation gain of 210 meters, 3 hours of walking. Reference IGN map 3619 OT or customized Bussang map only available at the Bussang tourist office. Starting point, parking at the Bussang ski station: Larcenaire. Facing the valley, take the small road to the right for 100 m and join a wide path marked by a green rectangle "Croix de Fresse." Stay on this path for about 2 km. You pass near the Croix de Fresse chalet, which offers a breathtaking view of Bussang. A little higher is the Croix de Fresse pass (altitude 879 m). Then continue to the right, on the path marked with a red disc. After 600 m, there is an option to take a detour to the Tête des Révolles to discover a nice viewpoint. Always follow the red disc path for 1.2 km. Pass by the Peut-Haut refuge and the memorial. Continue for 1.8 km to emerge on the large plateau of Rochelotte and its wooden chalet. Pass in front of the chalet and take the descending path marked with a green-white-green rectangle "Larcenaire." Descend for 1 km and arrive at a crossroads with the Col du Page road.
