La butte de Coivrel

At the start of the car park of the church, classified as a Historic Monument, above the gate you can see the equestrian statue of St Martin sharing his coat
The commune of Coivrel also has a good number of small heritage sites: 6 calvaries, 2 crosses, 1 old water pump, you may find some on your way.
Through the plain and woods, you will discover the hillock of Coivrel. This natural area is a protected area within the framework of a Zone of Ecological, Floristic and Faunistic Interest (ZNIEFF). Its origin is linked to the remains of a Gallo-Roman fortress "le Castelet" of which only a mound of earth remains to the north of the village
In the middle of this natural area there are various ponds, one of which, opposite the mound, has been converted into a picnic area, a peaceful place where you can find various wetland animals: frogs, dragonflies, etc.
