Walk in the Bocage

Meet at the church square for the start of this route. Start to the right and then after 100 m take the small descent where an elegant Renaissance manor stands.

Resume the direction of the Valley, then take the path on your left, continue, then turn left and immediately right, head towards La Roue. By taking the dirt path on your right, you will see a panorama of the Brionnais countryside sprinkled with white cattle, as well as a glimpse of the typical dispersed habitat of the region.

Continue on La Roue (where you can see old vineyard plots), continue and at the intersection turn left toward Orval. In Orval, turn left towards Bondinet-la-Varenne, follow the paved road for 200 m, then turn right onto the dirt path. You will cross woodlands, run alongside a small pond, and pass through the hamlets of La Varenne and Le Breuil. After 1 km of paved road at Bondinet, turn left onto the path toward Le Rocher. At the end of the woods, take the path straight ahead toward Préviny-les-Bassets.

At the next crossroads, follow Bassets. Continue on this path and then turn left at Croix Bonnet, descend towards Amanzé. Arriving at Les Places, turn right and continue on the paved road. After 200 m, turn right. To the left, head toward Saint-Symphorien-des-Bois, go 100 m, and turn left, continue to the wash place fountain of Font de Chévry, then return to the church square.
