Eguisheim and its castles

Just south of Colmar is Eguisheim. The village in Alsace is built in circles around a castle of the thirteenth century and therefore has a very original shape. Unfortunately, only the castle chapel remains, but it is no less interesting. Eguisheim is completely surrounded by vineyards and the two best wines of Alsace are grown; the Eichberg and the Pfersigberg.
