This route takes you up the legendary climb of Alpe d'Huez with its 21 hairpin bends where the greatest champions of the Tour de France found glory. Then it leads you into the Ferrand valley, a more intimate and wild valley with its traditional villages, before finally returning via the Balcons d'Auris road. This last part, with its road suspended on the mountainside, offers a breathtaking panorama of the Romanche valley.
