Grenoble is a southern French city about 110 kilometers southeast of Lyon. The city is completely surrounded by mountains and with its 670,000 inhabitants it is the largest agglomeration of the Alps. Apart from that title, Grenoble has also had a very long and rich history. The sights that will be visited during the route make that immediately clear and they include the Fort de La Bastille, the Cathédrale Notre-Dame, the Fontaine du Lion, ... and a full range of other beautiful gems.
