Bar-le-Duc is a northern French town located approximately 85 kilometers west of Nancy. The area in which the city is located was already inhabited during the paleolithic, which makes it one of the oldest cities in France. During the Middle Ages, however, it flourished as the capital of the Duchy of the same name. Today there are still many buildings that point to this rich history and they will all be visited during the walk. The eye-catchers include the Église de Saint-Étienne, the Chäteau de Marbeaumont, the Parc de l'Hôtel de ville, ... and a dozen other gems that will certainly make a day trip to Bar-le-Duc worthwhile!
