Description by the author

This walk starts in the village of Labastide-de-Virac in the Ardèche. The route then goes north line in the direction of Pont d'Arc. It is an impressive natural bridge, created by a meander breaking through the Ardèche. It is a popular landmark and is also called the natural gateway to the Ardèche Canyon. The route then follows the valley of the Rieussec. The last part goes along the long-distance path GR7 back to Labastide-de-Virac, with a detour along Goule de Foussoubie. The route is a total of 14.5km, and runs mainly through wooded area.
