Description by the author

The Castelnaud castle is a beautiful 13th century castle with a war museum, located on the Dordogne. It is the starting point of this 16.5 km long nature walk. The route runs mainly through wooded area. Occasionally there is a small climb and descent. The route also passes through several villages and Château des Milandes is also along the route. It is the formal residence of Josephine Baker and today you can visit the museum about her. Parking space is provided at the start of the route.
