Located in the former Bankside power station. It displays the
international collection of modern art (works by Bacon, Dalí, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol,…). The building is a solid industrial construction of red brick with a
99 m high chimney. It is connected to St. Paul’s Cathedral by the pedestrian bridge (Millennium Bridge).
Metro: Blackfriars and Southwark. No photos. Free.
Hours: 10 AM to 10 PM (Sat.) and 10 AM to 6 PM the rest of the week.
It previously belonged to the TATE GALLERY, but since the year 2000 it has been divided into two: Tate Modern and Tate Britain (Houses the collection of British art (16th to 20th century).
