Stretford and Urmston is a constituency in Greater Manchester represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2010 by Kate Green, a member of the Labour Party.
It has been represented by the Labour Party since its creation in 1997, originally by Beverley Hughes, who stood down at the 2010 general election. Stretford and Urmston was created from significant parts of the former constituencies of Davyhulme - whose last member was the Conservative Winston Churchill and Stretford - whose last member was Tony Lloyd who chaired the party while later the member for Manchester Central and was elected, Police and Crime Commissioner for Greater Manchester in 2012 and since 2017, MP for Rochdale.
