The site is owned and managed by the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust. It was purchased by the Trust in 1990. The site is listed in the 'Forest of Dean Local Plan Review' as a Key Wildlife Site .
The site is located in the River Leadon Valley and is next to the river. It is about half mile east of Dymock.
