Description by the author

Ely is a city in the east of England located about 23km northeast of Cambridge. Ely is best known for its age-old status as a cathedral city and the beauty of the current Ely Cathedral does justice to that. In addition, the house of Oliver Cromwell can also be found in Ely, which is still very well preserved. The walk takes you along all these and other sights so that the spirit and character of the city can be fully seen and a day trip Ely turned out to be no lost trouble.
