The great sandy beach of Platy of Paralia Plateos is great for children. It is very shallow. Be careful for the wind and the currents. Frequently, the wind is blowing away from the beach, so kids easily drift away with plastic boats. The currents are also strong when you go a bit further into the sea, so it is hard to get back, as I could experience myself.
