This artificial irrigation lake is a commendable effort to make the polje of Lavadia more fertile. This lake should allow irrigation of the fertile soils. However, when I went to see the lake in August 2022, this lake was virtually empty. There were clearly also past attempts to waterproof the lake walls with plastic sheeting. But apparently that didn't work.
