Aerial images show the striking strip parceling near Dilesi.
Strip parceling is a form of subdivision in which agricultural parcels are elongated and narrow, often with a length that is at least twice as large as their width. This type of parcel division is common in areas where agricultural land has historically been divided to ensure equal access to different soil types, water sources or infrastructure. Strip parceling is typical in areas with specific natural conditions such as river polders, peatlands or clay soils, where water management and drainage are important. It allows for efficient irrigation and allows multiple farmers to have access to different types of land within their strips.
