The Umbrail Pass is a mountain pass located between the canton of Graubünden (Switzerland) and the province of Sondrio (Italy). With a pass height of 2,501 m, it is the highest mountain pass in Switzerland. The road is narrow and very winding with beautiful views. The nature is impressive and at the top, the landscape is desert-like. Not more than 200 meters after the Italian border, the Umbrail Pass ends just below the top of the Stelvio Pass. The Umbrail Pass is often driven in combination with the Stelvio Pass.
