Canicattini Bagni is a comune in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily , located about 190 kilometres southeast of Palermo and about 20 kilometres southwest of Syracuse. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 7,415 and an area of 15.1 square kilometres .
Its name derives from the Arabic Ayn-at-tin . The appositive Bagni does not indicate the presence of any thermal baths. Instead, it refers to the territory once belonging to the Danieli noblemen, lords of the Bagni fiefdom.
