The International Journal of Obesity reported in 2010 a remarkable research result related to the "Last Supper". An analysis of 52 paintings representing the scene of the last supper (the most famous one you can see here in this convent) showed that the past 1000 years the portion, size, plate size and bread size have grown respectively by 69%, 66% and 23%. So Christ and his disciples have been enjoying an ever bigger Last Supper.
