On the Piazza Barberini, a former part of the domain of the Palazzo Barberini, Queen Christina of Sweden was present as guest of honour the 28th of February 1656, final day of Carnival. The mighty Barberini-family had organized a big show, where 'tout Rome' was present. The event was painted by Filippo Gagliardi and Filippo Lauri (1656-1659). The canvas is exposed at the Museo di Roma.
